Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``Community Health Workforce Development Act''. SEC. 2. ADVISORY COMMITTEE ON TRAINING IN COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTERS. The Public Health Service Act is amended by inserting after section 749 (42 U.S.C. 293l) the following: ``SEC. 749-1. ADVISORY COMMITTEE ON TRAINING IN COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTERS. ``(a) Establishment.--The Secretary shall establish an advisory committee, to be known as the Advisory Committee on Training in Community Health Centers (in this section referred to as the `Advisory Committee'). ``(b) Membership.-- ``(1) In general.--The Advisory Committee shall be composed of 15 members (not including the non-voting representatives of Federal agencies appointed under paragraph (7)), to be appointed by the Secretary. ``(2) Eligibility.--To be eligible to serve as a member of the Advisory Committee, an individual may not be an officer or employee of the Federal Government. ``(3) Initial appointments.--Not later than 90 days after the date of enactment of this Act, the Secretary shall appoint the initial members of the Advisory Committee. ``(4) Terms.--A member of
