Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``Aviation Weather Safety Improvement Act''. SEC. 2. CENTER WEATHER SERVICE UNIT STAFFING. Section 44720 of title 49, United States Code (relating to meteorological services), is amended-- (1) in subsection (b)-- (A) in paragraph (6), by striking ``and'' after the semicolon; (B) in paragraph (7), by striking the period and inserting ``; and''; and (C) by adding at the end the following new paragraph: ``(8) coordinate with the Director of the National Weather Service, the Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration, and the exclusive bargaining representatives of air traffic control specialists of the Federal Aviation Administration and employees of the National Weather Service certified u
