Union Members Right to Know Act

R. 6139 To amend the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act of 1959 to require unions to make certain disclosures to its members, and for other purposes. _______________________________________________________________________ IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES November 19, 2025 Ms. Foxx introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Education and Workforce _______________________________________________________________________ A BILL To amend the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act of 1959 to require unions to make certain disclosures to its members, and for other purposes. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``Union Members Right to Know Act''. SEC. 2. AMENDMENTS TO THE LABOR-MANAGEMENT REPORTING AND DISCLOSURE ACT OF 1959. (a) Collective Bargaining Agreement and Constitution and Bylaws Requirement.--Section 104 of the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act of 1959 (29 U.S.C. 414) is amended-- (1) by striking ``It shall be'' and inserting the following: ``(a) In General.--It shall be''; and (2) by adding at the end the following: ``(b) Certain Copies Required To Be Provided to Members.--Not later than 18 months after the date of enactment of the Union Members Right to Know Act, and annually thereafter, the secretary or corresponding principal officer of each labor organization that has made a collective bargaining agreement with any employer shall, with respect to any such collective bargaining agreement in effect-- ``(1) provide to each employee whose rights as such employee are directly affected by such collective bargaining agreement, a copy of such collective bargaining agreement; or ``(2) post and maintain all such collective bargaining a
