Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``Rural Broadband Modernization Act''. SEC. 2. RURAL BROADBAND MODERNIZATION. (a) In General.--Section 601 of the Rural Electrification Act of 1936 (7 U.S.C. 950bb) is amended to read as follows: ``SEC. 601.
