R. 5942 To require that national cemeteries be open to visitors on legal public holidays. _______________________________________________________________________ IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES November 7, 2025 Mr. Downing (for himself, Mr. Steube, Mr. Barrett, Mr. Moore of Alabama, Mr. Bergman, Mr. Hunt, Mr. Grothman, Mr. Wied, Mr. Ciscomani, Mr. Lawler, and Mr. Joyce of Ohio) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Veterans' Affairs, and in addition to the Committees on Armed Services, and Natural Resources, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned _______________________________________________________________________ A BILL To require that national cemeteries be open to visitors on legal public holidays. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``National Cemetery Access Act''. SEC. 2. NATIONAL CEMETERIES OPEN ON LEGAL PUBLIC HOLIDAYS. Each national cemetery administered by the Department of Defense, the Department of Veterans Affairs, or the National Park Service shall be open to visitors on the legal public holidays described in section 6103(a) of title 5, United States Code. <all>
