Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``Real Emergency Access for Aging and Disability Inclusion for Disasters Act'' or the ``REAADI for Disasters Act''. SEC. 2. FINDINGS AND SENSE OF CONGRESS. (a) Findings.--Congress makes the following findings: (1) In the United States, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, there are more than 70,000,000 adults who are individuals with disabilities and, according to the Bureau of the Census, there are more than 54,000,000 adults age 65 or older. (2) There have been nearly 400 emergencies declared under section 501 of the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act (42 U.S.C. 5191) related to hurricanes and tropical cyclones during the period beginning January 2000 and ending December 2024.
