Electric Supply Chain Act

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``Electric Supply Chain Act''. SEC. 2. DEFINITIONS. In this Act: (1) Appropriate committees of congress.--The term ``appropriate committees of Congress'' means-- (A) the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources of the Senate; and (B) the Committee on Energy and Commerce of the House of Representatives. (2) Critical material.--The term ``critical material'' has the meaning given the term in section 7002(a) of the Energy Act of 2020 (30 U.S.C. 1606(a)). (3) Electric reliability organization.--The term ``Electric Reliability Organization'' has the meaning given the term in section 215(a) of the Federal Power Act (16 U.S.C. 824o(a)). (4) Electric utility.--The term ``electric utility'' has the meaning given the term in section 3 of the Federal Power Act (16 U.S.C. 796). (5) Foreign entity of concern.--The term ``foreign entity of concern'' has the meaning given the term in section 40207(a) of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (42
